Made from durable stainless steel, this drum-shaped tamis can be fitted with three distinct wireware mesh discs that can perform a vast array of culinary tasks. The meshes come in coarse (3mm), medium (2mm) and fine (1mm) variants. To use this utensil, place the tamis above a bowl and add the ingredient to be strained in the center of the mesh. The food can then be pushed through using a scraper or pestle. Select your desired coarseness with the appropriate mesh insert.

The disc shape of a tamis works to grate/sift ingredients finer than any other utensil which allows for an even and consistent texture.
