These PLA tumblers are a game changer in regards to how we deal with plastic waste. One of the biggest issues after the summer events such as festivals, street parties, sporting occassions and BBQs is the obscene amount of plastic improperly disposed of. However, these PLA tumblers present a viable enviornmentally friendly alternative.
Made from Polylactic Acid (PLA), a sustainable and renewable material derived from plant based starches, these plastic-style tumblers are actually surpisingly strong and durable. They are shatterproof, crack resistant and hygienic. Most crucially though is their eco-credentials that come from the compostability of the PLA. This material has been certified BS EN 13432 compostable and as such will break down in commerical composting.
The tumblers are currently available in CE marked Pint and Half Pint varitations that are the perfect accompaniment to soaking up the summer sun in a beer garden, watching the World Cup or seeing your favourite band in a field!
